I wonder why there isn't an army of lawyers out there trying to trick AI into generating copyrighted texts.

Yeah they tried that, but the proof didn't fit.

Both can be true. Incompetence AND malice.

They should let AI work on it until the proof fits in the margin of a page.

I want a local model that I talk to, and that delegates work to whatever model it deems adequate, simplifying and perhaps even anonymizing the prompts/data as it goes.

But he's also known for picking low hanging fruit. (He took one of the main ideas/tools in classical computer vision, namely convolutions, and sold a cheaper version of it to the neural networks community, namely one without the F

But is it fast enough to do USB 3? If so, here's a nice and simple project idea: that board with two USB connectors and connect it to the two ends of the same cable; you send a pseudorandom bitstream down one end and verify if it comes

The main insight you need to have: The things you want to solder need to be at a minimum temperature for the solder to properly flow. Parts with a lot of metal attached to it will need more time to get hot. Most notorious are pads connected

My biggest question: what else had outages? And is anyone keeping a table of correlations between outages? Sounds like valuable data.

Sure, I was just using "route" to mean also floorplanning because that's what Astra's routing tool also does. Not sure how they name it. Sorry if I was sloppy.

I'm excited by the option in Astra to route PCBs. The next pain-point is sourcing the components from Digikey, LCSC, etc., and finding suitable substitutes if necessary. Of course this assumes the LLMs can already read datasheets becau

Maybe it was a power hub. And we're not allowed to know where the DC is. If we knew it was a power issue, then with other information (perhaps over time) we could determine the DC location. Or something along these lines.

Companies trying to make AI less of a commodity that you can just swap out for another ... No thanks, that's what I like about AI so I'll just stay with the raw tokens.

Yes, I was talking from a performance/UX standpoint. Of course, doing everything in one thread most of the time makes everything easier, because you're using the thread as the lock, so to speak. But using locks is bad for performa

Importing a library does not count. (Besides, perhaps you can tell but I don't even know if the library uses safe Rust internally.)
