I don't use it for any online stuff, so that's not really a concern. It's rarely even on the LAN at all, let alone connecting to the net. Further, I have many way, way older computers. :)

I reached it so long ago. My most "up-to-date" Mac runs OS X 10.10. No intention to ever run anything newer.

Often! Then there's Google Sheets, where a new line is Alt-Enter, and pressing Shift-Enter actually bumps you to the vertically-prior cell. haha :(

Yeah, this brought me back to the days of AIM and constantly having a "3" at the end of my messages (and people asking why) because I was pressing the Enter key on the numpad to send my messages (and sometimes accidentally hitting

I've noticed this as well. I often have to zoom in or out or move the view around to get the map to actually "draw", otherwise there are giant empty regions of the map (sometimes the entire visible map).

They do indeed, with the RTL-SDR Blog V3 and "direct sampling" mode! I think it's the only one at that price point that you can directly listen to HF/shortwave.

If you like posts like this check out https://qrper.com , basically focused around low-power "out in a park or mountaintop" sort of operating :)

yeah you can also get an RTL-SDR for like $30 USD (or something) and listen to a pretty wide range of frequencies - definitely good enough to get started with a very small cost.

"We didn’t recognize any public interest in having billboards" Seems about right - hopefully the same rationale can be employed in more and more cities.

That's funny. If I interacted with toxic trash like you more often that could actually be pretty applicable advice. In this case though, you're just being an asshole, and you can take your BS elsewhere.

A user account called "anon" is "he"? It has no gender, it is a Linux user account. The correct word should actually be "it", which is exactly what the word got recently updated to: https://github.

I personally like to know whether the software I use/endorse is developed with broad inclusion in mind. It is a pretty solid indicator of thoughtfully-designed software. A developer assuming, for example (not related to this instance)

It's the same with the Solitaire and other games bundled with the OS. I have an older family member who has been really upset that what used to be included-for-free plain old card games are now basically adware.
