So what's your secret?

That's a valid concern. However, given our scale, we find those obscure behaviors, if they exist (like interleaving output), pretty quickly. We're keeping an eye out in the beta. You can try it by going to your account and adding

We're back to square one. If it's outside the program you've already lost precision.

No, because we're running user programs we don't have control over and we're trying to avoid doing any magic in each language environment (which was the original approach that we decided to move away from).

Unfortunately, as explained in the post, both approaches -- which are similar to red.c in the post -- suffer from the out-of-order issue.

We care about user experience enough to justify the cost. Maybe some experienced hackers might not mind undifferentiated colors, novices surely do and since Repl.it is increasingly a place where a lot of people start their coding journey, t

Oof. We missed this issue -- good to know. So this is running in production right now for Repl.it beta users and seems to be working fine. But we only use it on the interpreter process and not globally.

That's indeed very cool. You seldom see such a wide and successful offering. Congrats on the raise! And thank you for Vagrant et al.

I'm curious what's HashiCorp's flagship product? Is it really a combination of all their various projects? I only use Vagrant but it seems like it's in the process of being deprecated or at least de-emphasized.

Looks cool! I've been lucky to have found places for my visitors through my networks in the past and they had a great time meeting startup people in SF. I wondered if we can advertise the idea of "meeting interesting people"

The scary thing is that tech corps figured out how to stay in the game even when they lose. Look at Microsoft, they did everything wrong and still won big. They all hacked the innovator's dilemma: they're building bigger and bigge

Almost all of science and philosophy was done in Arabic during the middle ages so "1.4k years" is an overestimate. Without the Arab and Muslim scholarship much of Greek/Roman wisdom would be lost. https://en.m.wiki
