I think they do have at least some incentive to rank good results highly. Why use a search engine if it's no good at finding relevant stuff? And if no one is using the search engine, who's gonna see all those ads? Of course, they

It's a classic case of "once a metric becomes a target, it ceases to be a good metric" To clarify, Google defines the metrics by which pages are ranked in their search results, and since everyone want to be at the top of Goog

Replace "AI" in your comment with "human journalists" and it still holds largely true though. It's not like AI invented clickbait, though it might have mastered the art of it. The convincing bullshit problem does no

"Fighting muskoxen"doesn't really roll of the tongue tho, it's too long for one, and I feel like it would have a better ring to it if the verb came last(like it does inthe original phrase) How about "musk fighting&q

So far it seems some of the positive effects are permanent, or at least long term. If I go without, I'm still better off than I was before I tried the first time, but not quite as good as I am with. I have not yet noticed any adverse s

This might be controversial, but I've found that micro-dosing psilocybin removes the urge of such distractions, and allows me to focus on what needs to be done. I've been told I might have undiagnosed ADHD tho, not sure if relevan

I think the best we can hope for, at least for the foreseeable future, is a workflow where you ask the AI to do a thing it gets it 80% right (someone who's good at writing prompts might even have it get a bit more correct) and then man

It wasn't, my friend certainly wasn't the first to do something similar, this was much more recent. I was just impressed by a demo he showed me of his work. He did procedural rigging for Darktide 40k, and physics based animations

Oh my, now that is exciting! A friend of mine had implemented procedural rigging, and physics based generative animations used in some pretty big name games. Combine those 2 technologies with this, and you've seriously lowered the entr

A bit of both I suppose. In my case I think taking on too many responsibilities and stressing out too much over any production issues that arose were the main ingredients for disaster. But there were others as well. Burnout is complicated.
