Of course there is a curve in all companies. The question is of interpretation how review scores get assigned (stab in my back and lunches with manager's peers like in Microsoft and perhaps in Amazon), or based on a peer reviews like i

My though exactly. Perhaps the anger and frustration of this integration is rooted from people being upset about being more accountable (through the real identity) and cautious, and Google is simply improving the quality of comments this wa

Microsoft apparently can't do that because of all those corporate customers which depend on subtle behaviors of a particular IE version they have apps developed against. This is a vicious cycle. Auto-update would work if it was the cas

The fact here is that IE is only available on Windows, whereas Chrome and Safari support all platforms. The common denominator for them is OpenGL. BTW, is OpenGL inherently inferior to DirectX?

It really doesn't matter how many spaces or tabs, what's important is that all code and scripts are written in the same style, which greatly reduces time required to understand someone else's code. At Google, that's a no

AFAIK Facebook is no longer running on memcache, they built their own service. Besides, Amazon and Google offer 5 nines which is much better than you can get on a conventional database, not mention the scale.
