Pretty incredible. I would like to see the assets to scale though, otherwise it seems crowded up there when it clearly isn't. It reminds me of all those graphics a year ago of the Australian bushfires where the fires were represented b

Pretty cool (I am a QLDer), well done - be interesting to see how many hits you get.. I think given the renaissance of QR Codes here due to the lurgy there is going to be QR codes on everything public transport, NFC is dead!

Yes, I have said the same in another comment here but it has been downvoted out of existence by some “well meaning” folk! Google are losing out on the web property advertising and in app advertising. Not updating or supporting the major ap

You are applying a technical reason here, but see the bigger picture. Google is being cut off on making money on iOS generally - in web properties, in apps via admob, etc, etc, so may have made a decision that it is no longer supporting it

My unpopular opinion is that these specific Google apps are advertising supported, and Apple are cutting them off from advertising revenue with the unavailability of IDFA on iOS14.5. What is the motivation for Google to maintain these apps

I see this diagram posted everywhere on the internet, and whilst of course Facebook collects a lot of data, in this situation I believe they just selected every option available to them for display on their app listing. If they declare ever

I used to love posting detail about what I change in my apps. But now the text isn't really surfaced - folk have automatic updates turned on, and the text is deep in the app store now. My changes are mostly technical when I use the &qu

I have nothing to say about the specific case - I think the app reviewer has an extremely valid case if he was following the app review process that Apple built.

I completely agree. Writing apps for the app store is the perfect example. I started out coding well coded apps that didn't make money, and as time has progressed my apps have lower code quality but I make more money. I focus less on c

Yes, the American focus of the internet is absolutely appalling. Assumptions of timezones - PST, CST and the others whatever they are. Northern hemisphere assumptions of seasons - fall, etc - in the southern hemisphere the seasons are the

You seem to be trying to describe the point of my own post to me, I don't get why you would do that. I know the point of my own post. As I have just written to someone else above - you are just proving the OP original article. Why not

Well, clearly not having money is not comparable to not having a phone. But you are just proving the OP original article. Why not just try something different rather than pointlessly arguing about the intricacies of it all on the internet

You don't need a phone for any of the activities you described. Stores are pretty much open business hours, or 24 hours, they follow the same pattern. Or just show up and it is closed. Go somewhere else. Public transport runs to a sche

An interesting experiment is to leave your phone at home when you go out. Try it. I don't mean take your phone anyway but don't use it. That is not the same thing. The value in this experiment is not to have your phone to fall bac

It is just a request. You can say No. That is the definition of request. They used the word request. Asking is fine. They could stay silent, or they could request. They chose to request. It is taken out of context, but as this is the only

Yes, I do agree, use of the word feels lazy, poor form. There are trendy stand up comedians and trendy authors who base their entire brand on the use of the word. It is a desperate fall back position.

I'm in my 50's and I read less now, it's because writers are now younger than me and they tell stories I've already lived. I suspect all older folk might feel the same? Writing is for the young? Being published is for th
