Isn't the entire point of an NFT the fact that two users can't simultaneously possess it? I don't know if NFTs are the ideal approach but that seems like the one critique that doesn't apply.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're talking about, but I read something a while back about using AI to predict if certain metallic glass alloys will have useful properties: https://phys.org/news/2018-0

The first thing that comes to mind is this old episode of Radiolab I listened to years ago, "Wild Talk", about the inter-species crosstalk in the jungle, which dramatically culminates with a researcher realizing that he was being

I think that's a legitimate stance, but one way to put a silver lining on this writhing cesspool of dog-eat-dog bot-fuckery is to think of it as early-access alpha testing; ironing out exploits in the wild west before it's stable

can't speak for gruez, but a couple off the top of my head: -set standards that all members abide by, potentially bypassing "tragedy of the commons'-style coordination problems -share information which, in a more cutthroat en

My solution: Download DroidCam, use your phone's camera as a webcam. Night and day difference versus awful built-in laptop cameras, only takes a few minutes to pair the first time. Granted, the positioning is a bit annoying. If I did i

Agreed. I think the natural level will regress to something in the middle--the price was artificially high before from exorbitant taxi medallion prices and protectionist laws, and now it's artificially low from an influx of VC cash. On

I don't fully dispute your point, but 42 million divided by 900,000 is 46 dollars per worker per year. And, last I paid attention, my impression was that Uber was already hemorrhaging VC money. 42 million for the CEO strikes me as extr
