I can't speak to the details of RAM usage like speedgoose did below but it does seem at times that Google decides Mac users are second-class citizens. If you see some of their products on Mac OS versus the same products on Windows, you

The pleasant surprise is you all make improvements to the hardware and the software that really enhance the experience. Nowadays, leading billion dollar tech companies often come out with upgrades that highlight being a few microns thinner

Yeah wasn't sure if they had a process to it outside of pull requests. As in some other channel or method for hardware. But you're right, pull requests it is they said.

Thanks for the in-depth reply. Is there some process you setup on Github for others if we test with our own cameras and let you know?

Truly amazing how the Raspberry Pi team keeps innovating. As far as I know, they're not a billion dollar company yet they keep innovating by making better Pi's and continuously upgrading the builder/user experience. Congratul

Took a look at your GitHub link, looks like you put in quite a lot of work. Looks very interesting. When you say "works great with other types of cameras", could you explain? You've tested with other cameras and could you tel

If this is happening with a lot of people, it is worrisome from a software quality point of view since the recent iOS 14 had wifi disconnecting. I wonder if there's an easy diagnostic method that is easy for people who aren't deve

Not sure how you get that Joe Rogan is a progressive? He's probably more libertarian than progressive. He was quite open about his support for Ron Paul in the Obama-Romney election and then went for Gary Johnson in 2016. When Sen Sande

This is strange, can anyone shed any light on why the ratings would drop so much? My assumption was their choice to use Android components was to provide a better experience to users.

Really insightful, I didn't even realize any of that. I really thought both the Foundation and the Corporation were hurting. I'm assuming the research you refer to is their WebVR thing and I get it but how do they abandon Servo as

My thought process was something like "How does Mozilla suddenly lose revenue for 250 employees and not see it coming in this environment?" I understand she has served with other tech companies before and apparently done very well

I was an early adopter of Thalmic's armband and love the idea of innovative hardware startups. I don't know if it was marketing and Thalmic/North not getting traction for its products or if it was just that Google came in wit

A former gf of mine worked at Nortel (shipping) and she would mention a lot of what was written in this article. I thought it more or less conspiracy theories or drama, not realizing it could be real. Stupid me I guess

Let's be honest and realize that for some tech senior execs, they've been made aware of these issues many times in the past. I'm not getting into whether it's right or not to have a code of conduct, just whether these st

Thanks for sharing that, very exciting. If by some stretch that means Swift can then make complete Windows programs, that could be good for consumers but particularly good for enterprise developers.

I think what surprises a lot of people is that Google would take a premier product like Gmail and make it slower and less user-friendly. Even when you try to use the "basic HTML", they decided to not provide a lot of simple featur
