Existing lane markings serve the same purpose, just with a slight offset. They're actually a lot better because there are usually two. But of course driving is a lot more complicated than just staying in your lane.

I've had the same experience with my MBP 2017. So many people don't realise that the aluminium chassis isn't just attractive, it's actually a massive heatsink, and it's the reason the machine needs barely any intern

Regardless, it seems very defensive. A company that looks after their users "because they choose to" is a lot more suspicious than one where customer care is simply assumed to be inherent to the operation.
