There’s been a push in recent years to teach the non-tech public that reusing passwords is bad, in part because if there is a leak in one service it’s easy to try the same somewhere else. Easy enough to relate to. I wish the messaging would

I looked this up just now and apparently Amazons case is more complicated due to things like sold by Amazon (16%) vs third party sellers (they got to choose if they pass it down to the customer or not). It was an economy stimulus after all.

Right. Since it was limited to a few months only I believe they just accepted the loss, put out some ads with 3% discount etc. Same with the lower VAT for food products. Probably also rounded down in favor for the customer but I can’t remem

Fat fingered is one thing. The best price error I’ve seen was something else: In 2020 the German government lowered VAT in a reaction to covid from 19% to 16%. On the first day Amazon had reduced thousands of products by exactly 19% and onl

I’ve always thought one possible next step for Facebook would be in the cloud business. Among the big tech companies they are the only ones not reselling their platform expertise but perhaps it’s just not worth it

I upgraded from an iPhone X to a 13 pro when it was released and since then it’s been a very mixed experience. The range of quality is incredibly frustrating. I enjoy the speed with which I can take pictures that are not blurry. But in most

Looks like they are made for research and the price reflects that as well (5500$). I guess they for example can be used to track test buyers to test store layouts and similar applications

A similar example with league of legends: One point of resistance gives 1% effective extra health no matter how much you already have. 100 armor give 50% reduction (100/100+100) while 200 armor give 66% (100/100+200) The percentag
