People in the third world can't afford the bandwidth to watch videos like this, especially when it's so anemic on actual information.

I know what the canonical name is, but that's not a name, it's a url. This community is a 'thing' in and of itself and merits a name independent of a rather sterile subdomain.

"Ooh but then you're disloyal and a job hopper!" - Calacanis et al. As I stated last time, only businessmen and finance grads are allowed to exercise self-interest. When labor starts responding to the market they get really mad.

Pay-by-use has always been a risk and people have been using the API + third party libs to automatically provision resources for some time now. Nothing new here, except that they're squeezing Heroku and GAE now.

And I bet you just have all the answers don't you? I'll even bet that you think everyone else is stupid for not seeing the OBVIOUS solutions that you're presenting! Damn those corporate conspiracies to keep programmers down!

I found this story and perspective very interesting but everyone discussing this subject with Hilbert is severely mistaken if they think they'll dissuade him from his unpopular beliefs with anecdote and musings. Sadly, your story is not one

Ignoring myriad other differences, Clojure's syntactic improvements on Lisp/Scheme alone would create far more work than would be worthwhile. It's simply unnecessary and excessively painful in the face of much better alternatives. Like cutt
