I like this idea, but I'd personally make a few additional changes to incognito mode. 1) Make it easy for me to accept persistent cookies at my discretion. I don't want random ad tracking, but I hate having to always log in to Amazon. 2) L

The reason it's hard is because you're lumping together two really difficult problems: 1)How do I find a good technical worker? 2)How do I find an entrpreneurial partner who's a good fit?

The Y Combinator book is by Randall Stross, not Strossen. Strossen is a writer of a bunch of fitness and weight training books.

So I hopped on over here (after I bought the book) to make this one comment, the price is too low! Seriously, the amount of value I've already gotten out of this book today well exceeds the $5 buy-in. I'm not saying to raise it straight to

The gist is that the item being advertised has to be the actual item as offered to the consumer. So in a cereal ad, the cereal featured has to be the actual cereal (even though they may go through hundreds of boxes picking out the perfect

That's an important distinction that a lot of people are overlooking in this discussion. It's not the end result that is patented, but rather the process or method to achieve that result.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some pushback from "normal" Windows users that return new machines because they expected "windows" and got "some sort of tile OS".

Can you tell us what city you're in, or at least be a little more specific? I know you're main point was to vent and get advice, but a lot of times these posts can result in actual job leads and offers.

In general job X, that may be true. But when you're being hired at a company where your job is going to explicitly be writing clear technical prose, I don't think it's unimportant at all.
