Here's one that I'm aware of that's a local start-up here in Pittsburgh. http://nowaitapp.com/ At it's simplest, it's just a waiting list for restaurant patrons. But it eliminates the need for pagers, which saves the restaurant money. I

I'll admit it's probably finding a lot of false positives, but I could make an argument for many of the files you said it flagged. Contains "ass": ui-bg_glass_55_fbfgee_1x400.png Path contains "x", contains "butt", "up" could indicate up-sk

I'm a big fan of jobstractor. We actually had a success from the other end, somebody found our job posting through the tractor. Keep up the great work!

Well that's kinda in the name. ARC = Automatic Reference Counting. Besides, who's looking for exciting? It's freedom from stupid memory errors. That's awesome!

I started reading it at 9PM EDT last night when Amazon released it on the Kindle. I'm on the second last chapter now. This is one hell of a book.

I might be interested. Shoot me an email (check my profile) and a quick description and we'll see if it's something that I'd be interested and willing to tackle. If not, I might be able to refer you to others.

You need to break this out into course collections as well. For example, the only thing I'm interested in is the mapkit and web services stuff in the advanced course. I already know everything in the basic and intermediate courses. There

Probably because, like most developers, he has separate development devices that he only uses for development. So he probably never ran into storage constraint limits while just testing Instapaper. As an example, I have a 32GB iPod Touch t

I had the same problem with "Nickel and Dimed" that I had with this game. She made a series of completely irrational decisions which resulted in expenses larger than they needed to be. As a counter to this, I highly recommend Scratch Begin

Agreed. I was especially pissed off with this game when, after choosing to pay higher rent so I could live within walking distance of work, it still made me keep my car, which hit me with a resultant $500+ in monthly costs between insuranc

The way he's throwing the numbers around, he almost seems to be implying that Apple would have to pay the 6% sales tax out of pocket, thus reducing their 3% profit to a -3% loss. Even if Amazon collected sales tax, their base prices are oft

Exactly. I think the only thing I buy from Amazon based purely on the sales tax benefit is video games, which are the same price both online and off. Everything else is because of convenience and selection.

Another possibility is that since iPhone 5 production is ramping up, Apple is making the assumption that for the holiday season, a certain number of people will buy iPhones instead of iPads (or both). I could see iPhone cannibalizing a cer

I'll play devil's advocate here. Maybe the reason is because everyone has super-fast 4G Android phones and they don't need to connect to wi-fi like all those slow 3G iPhones. Also, the article references all iOS devices whereas the title re
