My assumption was always that they did these announcements so that people would be inconvenienced and could avoid the checkpoints. The rationale being that if you're too drunk to drive, you probably forgot about the checkpoint anyway and a

What I've learned from the whole Xoom debacle is that I don't need a feature to actually "work" in order to use it as a main selling point. An inactive SD slot; No Flash at launch even though that's its biggest selling point. 4G networkin

   >Usability wise, it makes a lot more sense to have "enter" be a new line. I disagree. The paradigm they're using here isn't that of word processing a document, but rather quick text conversations. In pretty much every chat/IM program

I'm going to suggest that you're probably an outlier. I would think that a large majority of Facebook comments are one-liners. The typical Facebook commenter is writing multi-paragraph in-depth comments every day. So I think this change

If the iPad competition really overproduces as much as this report expects them to, then there's going to be some massively discounted Android tablets come Christmas-time. Even I'd pick up a $99 Xoom.

It's much more app-specific than the market for novel-length fiction. Think about the differences between a fart app, a simple game like Angry Birds, a more complex game like a FPS, a simple utility, and full-featured productivity app like

I really think that RIM is actively trying to commit suicide. They keep iterating internally on the Playbook without putting something out on the market. They make developing for the Playbook natively a world of pain with a lousy SDK and to

That's simple to explain. The graphics subsystem easily supports outputting 1080p video. However, the iPad 2 has the same screen resolution as the original iPad, 1024x768. This means that the device itself only supports up to 720p, since
