it could be you can't see that thread anymore because a lot of it was flagged dead. if you turn on showdead in your profile, threads like that will be visible. it could be you are talking about the one that starts here: https:/&#

i can only speak for myself ... as directors go, herzog is wildly uneven. a lot of his stuff strikes me as right on the money, exposing truths i wouldn't have known otherwise. a bunch more of it seems self-indulgent and unnecessary. ha

i held off upgrading to catalina for as long as possible, due to the mail bug and other issues, like the removal of itunes, which broke all my applescripts. alas, xcode is one of my bread-and-butter apps. recent versions require catalina, s

pretty common occurrence, in my experience. if you own a macbook, it is just a matter of time until the battery swells up and needs to be replaced. usual first symptoms are that the trackpad can't be clicked anymore.

well, apple certainly de-emphasized subpixel antialiasing. i am still using a non-retina monitor for all of my day-to-day work. when i first installed mojave, it made my display look so bad that it gave me headaches. so i wiped my mac entir

kraftwerk was my favorite band for about a decade. i still love them, but other stuff made it to the top of my favorites list. the band had an amazing run from 1974 to 1991. it sure is strange, though, that past that point, they pretty much

I can never let a thread about BeOS go by without adding my two cents, because I also worked at Be in Menlo Park, back in the day. (I went down with the ship and got laid off as they went out of business.) I was sore about it at the time, b
