Nice, thank you. > downvoted comments no longer light gray text and hard to read I don’t understand the reasoning behind this design decision. There’s often long comments threads starting from a downvoted comment and it’s super difficult

> I don't welcome IPv6 everywhere Huh? What about it? As in the v4 case you should put your network behind a firewall, hiding it from access from outside. If you’re referring to NAT you can use it with v6 too, though I don’t think i

Literally yesterday I set up Emacs on my new laptop, the Doom Emacs distribution. It took around 10 minutes overall. The thing that surprises me most is the fact that people don’t want to learn the tools. I get the point that Emacs/Vim

It is technically possible to use a pound key (#) as an end of input indicator. It is almost impossible to change the users habits though, not mentioning the need to reprogram thousands of telephony switches. Another (better) option here is

Variable length is solved by inter-digit timeout - pbx is waiting for a couple of seconds, then decides that the caller has finished entering the number and processes the collected digits according to the existing rules. Simple as that.

Many countries (if not all of them) use localized numbering format - short numbers to hit the local destinations (intra-city calls), numbers with city prefixes to get to the numbers in a different city within the same country, specific pref

This is simply not true. It is correct for a tiny fraction of developers. There’s people outside of the USA and the Bay Area specifically. A lot of them.

How to discuss the need to read the text before signing without blaming the victim? Or your suggestion is to refrain from discussing the victim’s actions whatsoever? Honest question.

No they don’t. VPNs allow _access_ to a set of subnets that might not be accessible otherwise - normally from external to private. Even though usually vpn traffic is encrypted it’s not a rule or an inherent property of VPNs - see GRE and PP

No, I don’t think so. Daisy chaining in networking is the worst possible design. For instance, the AP you’ve mentioned would go offline if the camera breaks. Not to mention stp diameter issues that are also possible in such designs. Normall
