I mean, any modern device such as a Mac or a Windows laptop or an Android phone allows running your own code and it doesn’t require you to be a sysadmin to do that. What evidence do you need?

Bash is not simple. It’s unforgiving in many unique ways. And it’s difficult to master, unless you code in it every day, which is not a norm for most of us. And if you didn’t master it it’s dangerous, because it’s unforgiving. So it goes.

Nothing odd about it. These apps are frontend; building a backend of a reddit scale is a completely different task.

This is very common in Singapore for example. Basically everything is "on sale" all the time. So it's not about developing countries.

Umm, subscription is actually the way Kagi monetises, instead of selling ads. This is exactly why you should consider it.

I use Emacs but don’t use Lisp. Sometimes I use vim and experimenting with neovim. The editor wars are incredibly frustrating and boring, don’t start one.

Gosh, what an insulting comment. > massive, obvious problems It’s not problems, it’s opportunities you’re missing, because you don’t understand and aggressively don’t want to understand the actual reasons why people are using it, whining

They could simply add a “propaganda” tag and give an option to filter out the search results marked with that tag. If anything I can specifically search for Russian propaganda, for whatever reason.

What are you talking about? It’s not about the username, it’s about the whole history of tweets, including conversations. I assume it’s quite easy to see why removing the conversation history of a deceased person might be considered bad by

Is there a way to archive the whole twitter history? I think there was a limitation on a number of tweets you can export using their api.

re: accent The funny thing is that I spent some time working on my English accent, and it wasn't that hard. Grammar and common phrases are two difficult things that I still haven't mastered. The combination of these two factors ca

Oh right, and if your need is to open a specific site only, your best choice would be to write your own browser heavily optimized just for this particular site, instead of using Chrome. Nonsense.

It’s weird that almost every emacs or vim related post has a thread like this, filled with hate. Hard to explain it honestly. I’ve yet to see a person who would force somebody to use vim instead of whatever editor the other guy is using. No

Except it is not clear at all and should mention the firewall changes. I expect that publishing means listening on 0.0.0.0, not messing with the firewall.

What about it? It can be easily done with Ansible. I managed a distributed infra with containers orchestrated by Ansible, worked fine.
