Tangential: I’ve recently tried to change my profile picture in Uber and it turned out I can’t - they’re asking me to schedule an appointment at their shop. Out of curiosity I checked - the closest one is exactly 84 kilometers from where I

It's not exactly correct to compare Emacs to an IDE. I'm not a coder (even though I write some scripts from time to time), but still Emacs is my working instrument. The main use cases are org-mode and knowledge base with org-roam.

I’ve recently worked on something similar that involved cloning multiple repositories and found gnu parallel to be ideal for that task. Parallel gives more control than xargs.

I don’t think it’s that bad. It’s not ideal for sure, but it’s good enough to get things done. I’ve definitely seen worse, the Avaya call center configuration tool comes to mind. Also this comment feels a bit rude to the author of Calibre -

I thought you had a point to discuss and linked the article to illustrate that point. That would have been interesting. If this link was purely informational - I’m sorry, I’m not interested.

You don’t seem to understand the reasons why I would consider it passive aggressive, and it’s my fault because I didn’t explain it. Thing is, in my culture exactly this phrasing had been a form of passive aggressive tone that had been very

Not sure how containerization would help in case of for instance network devices or baremetal servers management. You've picked only a small use case for Ansible, there's much more.
