Man, I wish I could use something like this for my Swift macOS app [1] I’ve got tons of crash reports in Sentry that I have no idea what to do about. On things like: CFRelease() called with NULL replay could help me find where the

Thanks for the insight! I would have probably just chosen direct_radiation not knowing better. Most users of this "brightness by sun position" feature work in rooms with lots of natural light so they complain about their screens b

This looks like the API I was looking for to compute the best screen brightness in the absence of a light sensor in Lunar [0] I would probably do a request per day for each user of this feature, which would amount to about 300-400 requests&

I've been using the GeoLite2 [0] downloadable database as a fallback for CoreLocation in my macOS app for changing monitor brightness based on the sun position [1]. It works well and with zero maintenance if you use their auto-updating

I'm a happy user of Docker Desktop myself (as a personal user) so Enterprise is not the first thing that came to mind when I read your comment. Sorry for misinterpreting. In that case, seems fair enough that as a business suddenly bein

It’s definitely not the same thing as the mail I received as it isn’t that directed. But based on my experience, I would say someone worked their ass off to make that UI (because Docker is damn hard for newcomers) and the automatic updates

This is exactly why I got sick of selling my own app [1] and stopped developing other ideas. I gave people a fairly complex solution in an easy to use package for free because I had no idea other users would pay for it. Everyone was happy

Since then, Lunar has acquired a lot more AppStore violations like linking to frameworks located in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks, not being sandboxed, and not caring about a lot of their design guidelines. So I didn’t re

I have about 5 or 6 of those square on/off ZigBee switches. They're perfect for automating through Home Assistant. Now I just have to find those encoders you're talking about. It's exactly what I wanted to buy.

I’ve read that in a lot of places over the years and even got afraid of it when my LG 4k flickered a bit one day. But I’m sure I’ve went way past the 100k writes speculated limit with Lunar’s Smooth Transition and by testing Lunar 6 hours a

It is really I2C over whatever cable you have between your monitor and your computer. I don’t know how they multiplex it through the Thunderbolt little wires but it does work.

I can’t say for sure what the problem is in your case, but it’s definitely not a problem in Lunar. All the app does is call a macOS function called IOAVServiceWriteI2C to send a standard DDC message to the monitor (something like “set brigh
