Prior to my late teens (I'm 34 now) my screen time was extremely limited yet I have quite high prescription glasses which I've worn since the age of 8/9. My prescription has changed very little since my early 20s. It's c

Some people find it more engaging to learn this way. I recently went through some videos on how OAuth2 works which I found very useful. I would likely find learning how OAuth2 works by reading the documentation extremely dull.

We are currently using Activiti (a fork of jBPM) for a client project. Tooling is pretty shoddy for changing the workflow, but it works.

An unnecessary distinction as it can quite be easily inferred from the current title. Despite this there seem to be a lot of people nitpicking on semantics of the title in this thread. It's unnecessary noise and detracts (and distracts

You can do the same in your browser by opening the developer tools and in fact it comes built in to the browser whereas on a desktop you'd have to install another app like Wireshark/Fiddler to see those requests.

I would've recommended this to people I know that want to learn to code, but I wouldn't wish JavaScript to be my worst enemy's first coding language...

That sounds like complete fantasy at this point given the technology isn't even working yet.

Seems to me like it's Disconnect and HTTPS Everywhere rolled into one with a UX that's targeted towards less techy folks.

I suspend or lock my machines when I "finish" with them so that I can resume where I left off when I come back. Many people, especially developers (which makes up a large part of the audience here on HN), do this. Your "strat

Or: 1- Someone bought ETH for a ridiculously cheap price during the presale and forgot all about it ( https://etherscan.io/address/0x7d551397f79a2988b064afd0efebe... ) 2- Realised two years later how much it's worth

Yep, someone who bought ETH during the pre-sale cashed out ( https://etherscan.io/address/0x7d551397f79a2988b064afd0efebe... ) which then triggered the cascade.

I love WPF and really miss building apps using it with the MVVM pattern. I've even tried to find open source WPF apps to contribute to, but there's very few of them around it seems; everyone wants to build web UIs. Anyway, here&#x

I have a 16GB iPhone 6 and the Facebook app was the first I culled from my phone ~2.5 years ago. At that time I was getting annoyed that the app had slowly creeped up in size from between ~60MB and ~80MB to over 100MB. I have no intention o

I'm very tempted to buy a Samsung TV (primarily for the the low input lag times which makes them good for gaming) and I plan to keep it offline (no WiFi or Ethernet connection), using a Chromecast and a HTPC+Kodi instead for streaming.
