I'm in the UK. The only place other than here I've rented a car is in Ireland. I can't remember if I used a credit or debit card there though.

I've rented cars with a regular debit card. Why would it need to be a credit card?

There's nothing wrong with making mistakes in experiments . However, when you're building financial systems, there's absolutely no room for mistakes.

Do you allow inbound traffic from your home network to your IoT network in order to control IoT devices or do you have to switch WLAN connection when you want to do so?

Been using IINA on Mac for a while too. It's simple and stays out of your way. Just plays the video/file I want it to play and has sane keyboard shortcuts to skip ahead/back. No faffing around with playlists.

But how much of that is the existing compositor, renderer or other components (that have been or will be replaced by Firefox Quantum components) and eventually be deprecated and removed?

You've already experienced it yourself. Once you find yourself in a situation that needs more than what is offered by the device you find yourself trapped. A dedicated NAS device, even a really basic one, wouldn't have the issues

I have no problem with a router offering a VPN server; it's another network service after all and I see a router as a device that offers network services. On the other hand, I wouldn't trust the default software stack and wouldn&#

You bought a router to use as a NAS? I think that's your problem right there. How is this even voted to the top? Edit: Looks like I hit a nerve. God forbid anyone buy hardware for a purpose it was actually designed for.

Firefox is also in the App Store, albeit "real" is a subjective term here since it's forced to use WebKit/WebView (as are all browsers on iOS) if that is what you were alluding to.

For a bit of perspective: on the other hand, as a brown Muslim man I won't be going to the US any time soon. Also won't be going to China either due to their current genocide of the Uyghurs.
