The article didn't load for me (HN hug of death) so I was confused too as are many others in this comment thread (and some have been downvoted for simply asking). Just use the correct terminology; if you're in tech you know there&

Recently started re-reading Excession and came across a reddit post[1] whilst I was looking up something. The post and comments kind of align with this article and I've been looking at the Culture more critically since. [1] https:

I was in Dumfries/Ayrshire a few weeks ago. Came up from Manchester; saw so many wind farms on the way and during our visit, most of them after crossing the border.

Once they add native split screen like Edge has, FF will be perfect for me. I hope the split-screen implementation isn't as clunky as Edge's though.

I really hope you're not still using it. It was last updated in 2010. Even the website hasn't been updated to use HTTPS.

I did something similar using Got Your Back and some C# hacked together in LinqPad to help me analyse my emails.

I've been meaning to sell my Pebble's but never got around to it. Don't know if anyone would even be interested in them as the screens on neither of them work. The first was the Kickstarter edition which was then replaced but

After reading the article, this comment and the comment thread further down on pnpm[1], it feels to me like the NPM team are doing everyone a disservice by ignoring the inefficiencies in the packaging system. It may not be deliberate or mal

If you read the post, you'll see that OP was inspired by a similar design (which is linked as an embedded YT video) but designed his own to fit his other needs, i.e. making the back part a tray.

I've tried it. It's not nearly half as good as Edge's split screen feature.

I tried Meld for 3-way merges and while it seemed ok I prefer P4Merge. It's free, but not open source. If I'm using Jetbrains tools though, I'll always use the built in merge tool as it's the most intuitive to use in my

I use a Google Apps Script to clean up my Gmail inbox. It runs daily, searches for various senders and/or subject lines which are older than a certain amount of time and moves them to the Trash/Bin. It runs without intervention an

I may be wrong but I don't think your app needs to be open source to publish it on F-Droid. Edit: Sorry, seems I was wrong [1] but you can host your own F-Droid repository which can be added to F-Droid by users to install your app from

If booting an ISO in a controlled test environment (implied by author specifying they are booting on a VM ) is a "fireable offence" where you work then I pity you for having to work in such a draconian environment.

Would be nice to know how much this cost the author. I've been considering getting myself a 3D printer recently too. The Bambu Lab P1S/P1P is looking like the best option for me so far.

Yeah, it seems a little murky which years' income is the basis for the fine. I was reading another article[1] which compares their fine to their 2021 revenue but doesn't explicitly say whether the 2021 revenue is the basis for the
