Can I ask where you live? We're really interested in tuning the suggestions to population/venue density :)

Definitely! We're working on improving our ticket price info right now so we can know when shows are sold out etc.

Thanks! Definitely something we're interested in, there's a great startup here in SF called WillCall that is working with venues to sell last minute tickets too. They rock!

We just launched for iPhone, and we would love to offer a web interface as well as an Android version as well :) We're a small team, and we didn't have the resources to build all three for launch.

If we want an openweb, advocacy won't cut it over the long haul. open is currently just less efficient at distributing + monetizing content. That's what we need to change, not the minds and paychecks of developers.

I think you're touching on a really interesting subject, which namank elaborated on in his comment. It's too early to tell, but it seems education is heading in a more 'intrinsic' direction, with less structure and more exploration. On the

Oh interesting, did you build your own collaborative filtering engine? or are the artist recommendations from somewhere else? I'm sorry if I came off as a snob, I intended that to be really a direct reply to gfodor and not as an attack on 2

I think that what we're seeing is actually just one service being repackaged as many. Echonest provides the data supporting all of these services, so it makes sense that they all look very similar and that there is no remarkable difference

This is fantastic! I've been considering this idea for a while - it 1) could become a legitimate way to invest in tech startups, and 2) could inform smarter investment - the best startups can get spotted faster. Great job making it! EDIT: i

Point taken, bad idea. But they would need to back up a rebranding with new and innovative products that demonstrate vision. I shouldn't pretend to know what those products should be, or how they should be sold.

The "slate" logo is okay. The promise of delivering the future is brilliant. I had the same exact reaction to it - there needs to be a multi-billion dollar company devoted to this philosophy! I think microsoft is in a unique position to bec

I have been working on a solution to exactly this issue. What we came up with is a crowd-sourcing artist discovery system that lets users find the best up-and-coming acts, keep up with their favorite artists (and buy their merch), and recei
