Their help page technically says you can use the same phone number on up to 10 accounts, but that hasn't been the case in 4–5 years or more. It's more like 2–4 accounts per number allowed in my experience, and there is a few week

I suppose it does raise the bar somewhat, but there are many websites that sell access to phone numbers that specifically work on major services like Google for as low as 10 cents per text.

yeah, they avoid any gplv3 software on macos, not sure if ios has any that's even gplv2.

it's unix (bsd), not linux. also, the minimum is actually 4 digits. you can tap "passcode options" when setting/changing passcode. not sure how much better that would be though. i generally like face id but i do hope the

It's common for them to not include more than original and/or English audio, but most competent groups will generally include all available subtitles at least.

it definitely should be possible at a router level, why should i be forced to configure each device individually? that said, obviously it should be possible to override on the device level, like it already is most of the time.

it seems to me like systems like these are the exception rather than the rule. you can always turn off nagle's algorithm if you have something really latency-sensitive, but it should not be off by default. 200 ms is not the end of the

it's generally a good idea to do echo 3 | sudo tee /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches for benchmarks to avoid disk cache speeding things up, i'm surprised it wasn't mentioned

you may have a point about amplification attacks, but that's not the main reason DoH/DoT exists. simply using legacy DNS over TCP will not magically make it encrypted.

Google is a multi-billion dollar company, they barely have to lift a finger. They simply have to provide an option to opt out of 2FA. Add a bunch of warnings if you must. Even if Google was a small startup it would be trivial for them to do
