Yep, and then employees have a harder time challenging it - because how is an employee without the power of HR, facilities etc. going to gather the almighty data?

I find I work more with other teams in WFH. When we were in the office it was rare to speak with anyone who wasn't on your floor, whereas now it's no harder to work with someone in Stockholm or Berlin than it is in London. Doing Z

You can have social contact outside of work though. WFH gives people back time to explore hobbies, join clubs, meet people etc. The social contact you have at work often feels forced and artificial - you can choose your friends, your collea

If they do then why don't they share it? I mean they must realise this is a pretty unpopular decision so why not share their justification. Otherwise it's just an appeal to authority - "Ours not to reason why.."

The antivax movement is ridiculous and hopefully the necessity of covid vaccinations will destroy it as should have happened years ago. Similarly, the evidence for climate change is pretty much undeniable now and I can only assume that thos

We develop better abstractions and tools though. I can write programs without needing to know how the CPU chip works, an engineer can build a new device without having to understand every detail of the new cutting edge materials science etc

Yeah, my PC is from 2015 (and it wasn't state of the art then..) so it's quite a pain to replace. Also I have an Ultrawide monitor which perhaps isn't the best for gaming, but is far superior for work.
