Someone told me that "It's called Medium because the articles are neither rare, nor well-done." That seems accurate in my experience.

I live in Spain, so now I get all of my components and electronics from PCComponentes. I had to return a broken monitor and the service was amazing too, although to Amazon's credit, I've never had an issue with Amazon's retur

I use Amazon a lot and I have Amazon Prime but I've started to do big purchases elsewhere. Because, frankly, the difference between having 25 relevant SKU's in a smaller store versus 1000's on Amazon doesn't matter to me

I've read A Deepness In The Sky and enjoyed it, I was wondering whether it A Fire Upon The Deep is similar? Also, it was lucky I had A Deepness In The Sky on my e-reader as I had no idea how long it was and it would have been far

If it's paid for by the people, it should belong to the people. Open-source meets this requirement, proprietary software doesn't.

IMO the first season of Altered Carbon was good - the second one? Not so much... and it seems like the viewing stats reflected that. I'd read the first book and it was interesting that despite the first season changing so much from the

I used to use it back in 2009/2010 as an alternative to Bittorrent etc. which was ruthlessly blocked by the University network. It didn't seem to count towards our download limit either. Not sure why not, but that was awesome.

In Europe, especially in the cities it is much more common to rent and generally you aren't allowed to drill into the walls etc. As the gamer demographic skews younger and the homeowner demographic is skewing increasingly older - I can

Yeah, five years old is really young but I guess it's worth a try. I think at 5 years old I played some educational games that my parents had (I can't even remember the names..) and I was lucky that we had a computer because that

I just recently finished all of the books. The third and fourth books are the weakest by far and are actually done much better by the TV series than the books. The TV series version of Ashford is an actual deep character and not just a 2d c

We also pay taxes in Europe. An engineer's pre-tax salary in Europe would be like 20-60k euros in the South/East and 30-80k in the North. The USA just has a lot more capital in tech so the demand for labor is a lot more robust. Eu

In Europe, most people earn nowhere near 100k USD, and as you just said in USA the median wage is 30k USD. I'd still say Europe and most of the USA is "first world living standards".
