Can someone further explain "ClearURLs has made it to its mission to prevent tracking via URLs and that's how Google makes money"? How exactly does the tracking via URLs work for Google?

Can someone give me a specific use case for this? As "check how a query behaves on a large table" is very vague to me. E.g. I have a table structure but not alot of rows in it, so i go use this to get alot of rows in to check how

There was a discussion earlier about this here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26550429 Besides it says that it is more likely that Discord will go public instead of selling. No deal is imminent.

Thanks! The knowledge graph is actually more helpful for the user and also has more functions to it. You can interactively link pages together and also create new pages on the graph itself for example.

Hello HN! Hypernotes is a knowledge-management tool similar to the likes of Roam Research, Obsidian and Notion. It provides all the features that have become the gold-standard for personal and organizational knowledge management in recent y

The GM would easily figure out at what chess level he is though. No one expecting him to beat the GM of course.

It does appear like that, I guess it just isn't very apparent to me yet how smartphone dependent we are. The change just kinda creeped up.

I was looking more from a customers point of view but I get what you are saying. Your point about the access ramps also makes alot of sense, didn't really think about that case.

I see that would make a lot of sense but of course you would need to set all this up in addition.

Yea I see more problems with this than benefits. Sure it's nice to have during corona times but what about after it when it's not necessary anymore?

Ok but what if I wanted to shop without a smartphone, or don't own one? Don't get me wrong this is great for the current situation but like all things it doesn't only have good things about it.

The article mostly talks about sports games like NBA 2k, FIFA and all the others. For them, it probably works because their fans buy the new yearly title no matter what, $10 more or less. Which is very surprising since these "new versi

I feel like often times when you see that the move is possible it can cost you the game. You get tempted to go through with it because its unique without actually checking if it is good in the situation or not. At least that's my view

Fully agree with the article. > "Best practices, not required practices" Is a thing mentioned from the article that I think many people forget. It also not only applies to programming or coding but rather to most things in life

What about options of importing and exporting files? For example Google Docs lets download your file in another format making it easy to open in another client e.g. MS Word. Wouldn't that be somewhat of a BYOC approach.

I think your point is spot on and probably one of the bigger reasons why we won't see any change happening in the Google Docs department.

I was somewhat similarly like you in the beginning. But for me, I it wasn't coding itself but rather on how to build everything around it. The coding logic was pretty clear to me, when I started with it: variables, loops, etc. But when
