Yeah, I recently went down this path. It’s all doable but frankly I’m not a nation state target and getting locked out after a kernel update or similar would be far more annoying. Instead I’m leaning toward separate boot and root disks, wit

That’s not really the point though - it’s more like saying the NYC metro area isn’t only Manhattan. Brooklyn would be the 3rd largest city in America by population. I agree it’s kind of irrelevant and the original point was correct: DC is a

Are you still using LUKS for these? How are you invoking decryption with the pass phrase protected key?

I’m modestly familiar with nix. I’ve written flakes and some other derivations. I’ve dabbled with overlays and such but I’m not super familiar. I liked flakes enough I created a template repo for packaging dev envs. Until this post/you

That’s why I was curious about utilization since you mentioned low memory usage. I believe time slicing can work on those smaller cards these days. Did you explore any other optimizations like batching or concurrency for same model? Model h

If you aren’t fully utilizing gpu memory, can you use time slicing? Or MIG for A100? Orthogonal solution but could help.

Err. I might be misunderstanding. Don’t you agree with my counter argument to GP? You’re saying animals are extra steps and I’m saying both plant alone or mixed use could be sustainable?

I don’t support exhaustive mono cropping, but without reading a book, is plants vs animals really the issue? You seem to have frame it as “land destroying plant only farming” vs “animal and land friendly mixed use” which seems like a false

tbh, on re-read I agree it's awkward, but to take some of the bait: >> an entirely ideological win > What does that mean? ideological win makes sense. what's an entirely ideological win? one without non-ideological impact

GANs are established engineering. Infinite funds and frictionless spheres aside, you don't need to break ground, but copy/paste/glue existing code with some comprehension. LLMs are newer than GANs afaik, it just so happens GA

This sounds far more like a roommate situation than a semi-nuclear family. Still applies, albeit less so. Not like looks are real evidence, but it points them the right direction.

Oh, I see what you’re saying. I agree. Although even with driving, an unlicensed driver would still be liable. I suppose it depends what you consider agreement to social rules and how you define liability. I can certainly be held liable for

Perhaps not, but negligence and malpractice are different. Average joe can be negligent and legally liable (driving for example). No idea what the legal precedent for negligent software engineering would be…

I love the vagrant UX, I’d be thrilled to see a refresh for 2023. Box management is odd. Weaveworks ignite/footloose are also good but don’t quite scratch my itch. I think vagrant UX with ignite style kernel/rootfs as oci image is
