I'm on board, but when talking about stuff like this it's best to use the textbook answers: less wiggle room.

That's awfully ignorant. Hating on McDonalds and the like is the trendy thing to do now, but to say that there is no nutritional or health value in their food is ridiculous. I just looked up the nutrition facts for a kid's happy

You're looking at it wrong. Twilio _could_ be profitable with 28M users, easily, but they'd rather not be profitable and spend more money on expansion.

My first thought was an integration with GAE. Right now the default URL for a GAE app is foo.appspot.com. foo.app is quite a bit cleaner (and subtly advertises GAE).

That's a tough question to answer without context. For us, on this problem, Go was superior to C++ (and Python). On another problem, that may not be the case.

At Fog Creek, we converted our SSH load balancer from Python to Go. Paramiko had a number of bugs and memory leaks that were forcing us to restart it nightly. We had trouble getting patches accepted upstream over the years. Eventually, a c

I'd be surprised if anyone got discounts as deep as Netflix considering their usage. For what it's worth, 3.5m/yr is about 0.08% their revenue.

Linode could handle that the same way other providers do: bill per-hour, charge per-month. I love Linode's performance and stability, but not having per hour billing is an absolute dealbreaker. And it's a shame, because even if th
