Unpaid internships are one of the biggest scams ever. You want me to work for you for free so I get "invaluable experience"? How much is my work worth to you, if you're not paying me? For that matter, how much is the experience I get, if I

To some extent this will always be a problem with fields that require in-depth knowledge or expertise. "What do you do?" "I'm a mechanic / plumber / electrician / etc." "Oh." The problem is, that's not a useful answer, unless the pers

There IS explosive growth just around the corner in terms of Android device models. Of course, this doesn't necessarily translate into explosive growth in terms of users.

I got an HTC Magic recently for development, and the first thing I did was check the App Store (sorry, the Market) - I can't find ANY paid apps, even if I mess around with the buried menu setting mentioned by the article. Google checkout o

This is neither news, nor current affairs. It is a political trend that has been going on for many years, and is unlikely to change any time soon. What's even less likely is that the discussion here will produce any new insights or solutio

I’ve received a few other applicants from newspaper people, all of whom swallowed their pride like every other job candidate. This comment by the prospective employer almost single-handedly redeemed the applicant in my eyes. These two de

No, and I don't aspire to be one. Nor a rockstar, ninja, pirate, robot, zombie, or anything similar. I HAVE been programming in one form or another for about 15 years. I both enjoy doing it, and do it for a living. As long as I'm making

As far as I recall, the Eve team actually has a resident economist. I've always been fascinated by this aspect of Eve... too bad the game itself is such a large time sink.
