HN's total traffic is 1/12th of TechCrunch's. I doubt HN visitors click on many ads, either. So I don't think our opinion will strongly affect TC's editorial policy. I'm sure their style is a very concious decision.

You can't downvote submissions and TC is great at linkbait headlines, which get upvoted before people read the actual post. That's the problem.

The claim that Smalltalk is dead is very much based on how many people use Smalltalk today - and the answer is very little. Arguing about Smalltalk's features, as awesome as they may be, does not refute the original presentation's point.

Sorry for the unfinished sentence above (a case of noprocrast + getting distracting and submitting). I meant to say: Cases that form precedents can be a caveat. They usually are less structured than legislature, so it can be harder to parse

Why integrate this in YC instead of making a separate site for that? A bookmarklet will submit the app. form to the new site instead of YC and you are done.
