Well, I had a good experience with Acer 10 years ago but everybody else I know who had a problem with their Acer laptop can't say the same. Customer support for these brands is a gamble that mostly doesn't go well.

This is true for most brands. They are too big to care, it won't affect business. That's why my next laptop will be from a smaller brand that I know it has a good customer support.

I don't know about Habbo but I've seen several games that look like it. Apparently some people use them as a virtual office.

I used to be a big fan but I don't use it anymore. Now if I'm using the keyboard I just alt+tab to change windows. If I'm using the mouse, hot top left corner and I see the activities view which shows all the windows opened,

Why would they give free access to GPT4 when it's more expensive than 4o?

Unless it requires a kernel level anti cheat. I don't play those games but if someone does, it's a thing they should know.

One of the things I dislike about the current PHP development cycle is how quickly versions run out of support. Make an app, when it's finished there's a new PHP version or maybe two newer versions. You now can't spend time u

The tabs are open but not loaded so yeah, it's like a bookmark. Once you click the tab it loads the content.

Isn't the Google CEO also Alphabet CEO now because they didn't manage to make them 2 actual independent companies?

Well, that's exactly what we need. Our servers are growing in numbers and it's a pain in the ass the log into each one of them via SSH and do stuff.

At 15 I started coding mIRC scripts and stuff like that. I didn't know anyone in real life who knew how to code so it was a bit hard. Not hard as in difficult without any kind of guidance I didn't know how to start doing things th

If you knowingly lie and get sued then a judge will decide if you're guilty of anything, which is very different than having the government decide beforehand what you can and what you can't say.

I think it's better to allow people to lie in public than let the government decide what's the truth.

I know people around here won't like it but Symfony is a pretty solid choice. It just works. You don't need fancy servers, weird deployments, etc. You can create monoliths, miroservices, APIs, it works with almost any DB, it has a

Recently a friend went to the US for a couple weeks and he said "they still use plastic staws, that why they are a superpower and we're not". It's a joke but depicts the reality of plastic usage.

Living in Romania is not that bad if you make enough money but living there with the median income is complicated that's why many of us are living abroad. Quality of life has increased dramatically since the 90s though.
