Interesting. In my experience, I end up cleaning my house the next day, because I noticed that the light switch in my room isn't just a light switch, it's a dirty light switch. I'll see stains or smudges that I never noticed.

Only in the tech sector do we think we should be able to show up with a T-shirt and greasy hair. Looks/hygiene/culture fit is important and there isn't a single field where it isn't. If you can be bothered to try to fit

Take some acid and what you are describing regarding consciousness becomes fairly apparent. The amount of things that automatically happen or get filled in for us goes unnoticed until you get a chance to step outside of it for a while.

You sure? I'm in the Midwest and absolutely surrounded by farms. Do you really think your beef, grains, and potatos don't come from the heartland? How in the world would that make sense?

This is a "public forum" where people have "conversations" and "discuss ideas". When people have a "conversation" it is sometimes helpful to express an "opinion".

I'm 20 years into my career and know how to program competently. I have missed out on job opportunities because I don't have any credentials other than experience. I'm the type of person who would test out of everything immed

Agreed. It's completely dependant on context. Give credit where credit is due. One of my reports had a great idea a few weeks ago and I had him implement it on his own. Knocked it out of the park. When speaking with him I refer to it a

Yes that's the point of an Abbe value but if your lenses are super thin you can't tell. Chromatic abberation becomes more apparent as the lens thickness increases. Glass has the lowest but it's irrelevant if you're makin

Everything in the enterprise env is likely MS based. Active directory, Office, fileshares, etc. I don't even try to integrate Mac's with that stuff, they are on an island.

I know, I work in the optical industry. Abbe value is one part of it, but thickness is the multiplier. For most prescriptions, you'll never notice. But with a high negative, you have thicker lenses. If you use something with a lower in

You for sure don't want glass lenses. Your biggest issue isn't poly, it's your lens thickness. Best way to get the thinnest lenses possible is to use round frames. Perfect circles would be ideal, rectanglish in any way is goi
