It's nice to see some governments recognizing that something which was once a luxury is now becoming a necessity as offline alternative for mandatory services (paying bills, job searching, etc) get stripped down or removed entirely.

I assume they'll just let it go viral. The communities that grow out of the existing user base will have some overlap with slightly less technical people. This, in turn leads to slightly less technical people being exposed to the platform

I found the setting you're talking about, and if doesn't fix this bug. The portals still render as big black holes no matter the setting (well, if you set it to 0, the portals are obscured by blue/orange flame energy)

Training people to wait isn't that much of a negative. New people who don't know to wait always show up, and the people you train to wait ensure you have a heavy secondary market (see Trade Paperback books, second run movie theaters, etc.)
