It is weird that Netflix is allowing James to update Eve's payment information without logging into Eve's account. I think that is the actual security vulnerability. On the other hand, e-mail verification should be done eventually

Regarding Python3 sample at the end, What if the method y is mutating the object? Then when I just check for existence of y with hasattr, it will mutate the object. I wouldn't want that.
