Anecdote about a bad case: I was in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress a couple years back and Google insisted I was in Milan, because the rental wifi was from there (I assume).

Just yesterday I used the source maps provided and a short script to "reverse-engineer" a third party's minified Webpack bundle into a tree of original source files, complete with comments...

I wouldn't call that minor. Sounds like there's something odd about the way passwords are handled. :/

Oof, tell me about it. I still have a N900 that's otherwise in decent condition, but the MicroUSB charging jack is rattling merrily around inside the case...

Quoting CoinHive's site: > [...] There are solutions to run the Cryptonight algorithm on a GPU instead, but the benefit is about 2x, not 10000x like for other algorithms used by Bitcoin or Ethereum. This makes Cryptonight a nice tar

Not really, imho. It makes more things work out of the box, but input and output for things that used to be ASCII anyway remain the same.

I have LED lighting in my bathroom, controlled by a non-IOT but remote-controllable dimmer, and it does not exhibit that behavior, so I'd say it's just a buggy dimmer.

Yeah, the stdlib bz2 module does release the GIL for the time of the compression (though it locks the compressor object simultaneously): https://github.com/python/cpython/blob/d4b93e21c2664d6a78e06...

FWIW, for my NFC debit card the maximum for a single transaction is 25 EUR, and the card will require a PIN occasionally anyway (I assume the more often NFC is used).

Not GP, but I've had 4 removed and it wasn't painful (under local anaesthetics). Just really uncomfortable, especially when you hear and _feel_ the crunch of a tooth being uprooted.

The one that is the better fit for my use case, I'd imagine, if neither platform no longer wants to have my data for lunch. That said, I'd still choose PostgreSQL for a new project.
