I agree with “fairfax” when he says to focus on helping others. I would add something to that advice. I would tell you to go back to the people that helped you, and thank them. Tell them what they did, and why it helped you. That may prove

Do you think using AI for text-to-speech lessens the value of the content? I can't speak in a normal voice anymore, after being on a ventilator. I'm just wondering... if the content is useful, but oh no it's AI talking... det

Ugh. Please. Get off the hypetrain already. Developers aren't going to be replaced by AI. Have you seen how BAD this stuff is? It might assist you in certain use cases, but it's not going to replace you. "AI" is neit

How well do you folks think this would run on this Apple Silicon setup? MacBook Pro M2 Max 96GB of RAM and which model should I try (if at all)? The alternative is a VM w/dual 3090s set up with PCI passthrough.

Hey Simon, love your work. I also appreciate the fact that you've been so approachable to ask questions of. (I've talked to you on one of the socials) Just a random question for you. Of all of the projects you've created, whi

I'm one of the "complainers" about the native File Explorer, but you know if you're getting a Microsoft VP's attention, you're doing something right!

Not only is it problematic... the real anonymity is gone, as well. I would not recommend using it anymore.

"ruin my life" sounds a bit drastic. The only drawback I can think of is some sites not recognizing the TLD like you already suggested. What cost do you consider enormous? Yes, they're not the cheapest, but they're still

I have two of these. One caveat I'd mention is that the power buttons are flimsy. On one of them I have to push kinda hard to get it to do anything, so I dread it if they ever lose power.

I totally get the rationale, no need to convince me. We've raised the bar even higher than 8th. Our kid won't have a phone before they are driving. We have a landline for when they're at home, but there's no reason to ru

You call them. Full stop. You have no other good mechanism to verify they are who they say they are, unless you initiate the communication.

I came here to say this but for a different reason. Have a mature enough development process and pipeline that production deployments are repeatable and predictable at any time. Bake testing into the procedure.

I'm curious why you say "there is no such thing as a root cause". Is this because that's what you genuinely believe, or was this just Amazon culture?

I stopped watching and reading the news, in general. I have some friends who balked at the idea when I mentioned it. They'd say, "Oh, but how do you keep up on important news?" I don't. My life is better for letting it g

Do you folks think this is going to just sail right through? Isn’t it premature to get excited before the proverbial ink is dry? I’m very much in favor of a total ban of noncompete agreements. That said, it seems like all the parties that

One thing I'd add to this, as a Business Management graduate… college won't teach anywhere near as much about business as starting a business will. You'll get FAR MORE practical and useful knowledge doing it yourself, and bei
