I'd be happy to donate a Raspberry Pi to the OP for the young lady to use. They are an excellent learning tool.

I've been a Mac user since 2004. Up until December 2015, I never ran any type of anti-{malware,spyware} software on my Macs. Then I went freelance, and as part of the contract with my first costumer, they required I be running AV stuff

Tim Ferriss has mentioned coming up with the title as something flashy to make for more sales. Even he says it's not about a literal 4-hour week of work. The thrust of the book is about how to break things down into systems, and figure

Please forgive my ignorance here, but what _is_ "The DAO"? The link to Ethereum doesn't help much. What is a "smart contract"?

To that, I'd suggest MeetUp groups. There's definitely a way get the same discussion and forego the mountain of tuition debt. ;) I'm much slower to recommend college these days, unless some form of licensure/credential

Does the idea of more debt excite you? In my opinion, it's too costly, and not a good return on your investment. The things you'd learn from an MBA track can be learned from books, much more cheaply. I'd start with "The

Not only is it easier to find a job when you're already employed, but some recruiters even deliberately overlook you as a candidate if you're unemployed. I wouldn't even consider leaving until you have something else in hand.

Daily for 10+ years. Of course the instance sometimes loses connection, and I have to re-establish. IRC beats ALL social networks, in my experience. I've learned more, and helped/gotten help more from it, than any other source.

One of the things I wonder, in reading the comments... I wonder if there would be a viable model for someone to manage the devs servers for them. I'd love to do this, but I wonder what a good pricepoint would be? (so that it's ben
