Sure, but if the majority of validators are actually run by the project owners it's effectively centralised. And it's easy to maintain this control if you have the majority of coins to stake. It's not Sybil resistant for th

By this argument the only real consensus mechanism we need is FAITH. In PoS we trust. As long as a sufficient number of people believe some currency has value - it has value. If they don't believe, it doesn't have value, and the

If you'd read the article till the end, perhaps you'd understand where the author is coming from: PoS systems aren't getting hacked today because they aren't truly decentralised. You can't have decentralisation and

Information assymetry definitely skews things in employer's favour. Is there any reason the government doesn't require public salary disclosure? They already do this for stock trading for example, via NBBO. Yet the two largest a

I don't see why processing JPEG coefficients directly as input features shouldn't have similar accuracy to a much larger NN using raw pixel data. In particular I'm interested in the efficiency gains from avoiding convolutions

Using a standard loss function like MSE? Yeah it kinda works when you feed JPEG coefficients into a typical time-domain CNN, but mathematically it seems that if you're using frequencies as inputs, your convolutions should become simple

I'm really interested in training NNs in the frequency domain: - a ton of data (JPEGs, MPEGs, MFCCs) exists in the compressed form of FFT-ed features - FFTs are hardware encoded/decoded & optimised - FFTs are great at separati

This is most definitely debt. If these would be ANNUAL contracts, and the factoring company took on the risk (as with Affirm or BNPL solutions) then it wouldn't be debt. But these are NOT guaranteed future cashflows. What happens if a

Market forces will have the opposite effect: leaders in delivery will monopolize further and have even more pricing power, taking ever larger share from restaurants. Instead we could have had lots of delivery companies competing on price. A
