This is so much faster than create-react-app. CRA takes around 30-40 seconds to start which this takes no more than 1 second. esbuild is probably best thing happened to JS ecosystem recently and I hope all official Front end generators(CRA

Most RISC-V processors use really old node sizes. Even Raspberry Pi is on 28nm. To be more efficient and complete with mainstream processors a move to 10/12nm is required.

>Microsoft basing Edge on Chromium was a really stupid move on their part for this reason, It is not true at all. After a long time Microsoft's browser share in increasing. They probably are quite happy about it,.

This is a good move on Intel side, they cant just take a risk of delaying 7nm further. AMD is giving competetion to them and they have lost Apple, one of their biggest customer. But if they are going with TSMC why not 5nm instead of 7nm.

There are times like this I feel electron is not bad of a platform. Platform APIs keep on changing but chromium always implement those in early phase(vulkan, metal, ARM mac OS etc). Development almost never have to worry about platform APIs

Culprit is large image than necessary as its always the case. Out of 8.4 MB transfered 7.5 are just images. Product images which they are showing in 400x500 viewport has actual size of 2400x3600 (7x). I think NextJS introduces <Image &#x

With this I'm more excited about ARM on servers. Microsoft and Google already have ARM machines but were not much successful. I thinks Apples success would convince them to be more serious and put more resources on ARM. ARM on server w

Google is not really good at hardware, they tried high end phones but were not very successful. They realised that and moved to mid tier phones. More than performance they are focusing on creating a Google ecosystem where all their hardware

Its not even about just pure performance, It is about performance per watt. Intel may catch up with performance but matching performance per watt seems very difficult.

TSMC is shipping 7nm from mid 2018. When Intel ships 5nm, Apple/ARM is not going to stop development. M1 is their first laptop grade chip. Even if they get 10% IPC gain annually thats gonna make differece to big to catch up.

Intel is not even ready for 7nm, Their 7nm is delayed till 2022. So fastest they can do 5nm is in 2023(Seems unlikely though when they couldn't even manage to do 7nm). ARM is not only threat to Intel. AMD caught up with Intel with Zen
