Or use a language with great data structure support so you don't have to create objects at all!

You can do similar things with spec for Clojure. As I stated in another response that is opt-in obviously so it requires more discipline perhaps but it is definitely available.

Exactly, and I was responding to the fact that I never fear refactoring my Clojure code. Your examples of the type safety can all be mimicked with spec in Clojure. Granted spec is opt-in (but I'm guessing so is some of the more detaile

To be fair, I wasn't comparing the two. I've never used Haskell (for more than just learning/tutorials). I would suggest that if you have runtime bugs popping up in Clojure programs then that would suggest the inputs to funct

I'd disagree with this. Primarily been developing with Clojure for 5 years now with some pretty large codebases. It does depend on how you write your code but favoring pure functions, pushing immutability to the edges of your programs

On Tesla's at least they show you this number alongside the kW's. Definitely easier to communicate with most people and very impressive to see the car getting 400+ miles per hour and the mileage just rolling up while plugged in (s

I love #10, especially the last part. I would argue that even primary/secondary education is better served in this fashion. Relevant to a recent Joe Rogan podcast with Neil Degrasse Tyson on how many teachers in your life inspired you.

"lives on subsidies" Tesla is well below that of many other car manufacturers on receiving government subsidies. BMW has received them as well!

Every one of these reads like all those old 'next iPhone killer' headlines. Elon's publicly stated goal was driving more EV adoption whether it is Tesla or others and he's most definitely succeeded at that. That being sa

True, but it is not only the data. Even if it was why aren't the big 3 doing this already? Tesla is a technology company more-so than a car company. They employ the engineers focusing on machine learning and gathering the right data to

Perhaps their initial reason in shorting the stock was not inherently evil. But at this point they risk losing billions of dollars so their only incentive is to ensure the company fails. I actually don't find their share price to be ou

I've never bought into this, and without significant evidence proving it to be true, I never will. Removing the soul of the company is never good. I've followed leaders who were passionate about their business and I've worked

If you use the linux subsystem you can simply use the clj tool. Not a perfect solution, but it's workable.

Exactly. Somewhat akin to graphics programming. There are much smaller groups that work on actually building 3D graphics engines, however, many developers take those engines and use them to build successful applications and games.

I don't know how long it's been since you tried but I'd suggest giving it another go. The tooling today is what makes it one of the best experiences out there. The front-end tooling especially!

Government funded R&D has led to many great "free market" products. We have for profit hospitals and they are a terrible thing overall! We also have for profit prisons which are also a terrible thing.

Then perhaps open source icons are not a good fit for you! If you have some requests/demands, and can't do the work yourself, then paying a premium to have that work done seems like the correct route.
