No big surprise here really. So when are we all going to get serious and start using public key cryptography on a mass scale, even if we "don't have anything to hide"?

Any media outlet tempted to use a "you've never heard of" headline should seriously reconsider. Guaranteed to irritate everyone who HAS heard of it instantly.

I must be missing something... doesn't the iPod do all the things he lists as being killer features for a "podcast player"? What's so horrible about using an iPod for podcasts that there is or could possibly be a need for a dedicated podcas

Maybe with proper code review these kinds of ridiculous problems would get caught early and stomped on rather than turning into actual problems.

Misleading subject line on the email from Twitter about this: "Important information about your Twitter application" (emphasis mine). Turns out it wasn't about my application at all, it was twidroyd. Way to get my attention though.

A solution might be to have the CarKit wired in to disarm the engine immobilizer, much like car key security fobs do already. This would let you then leave a "normal" non-security ignition key in the car without too much worry.

You might want to consider something a bit more lightweight than a full blown media wiki instance, say, Tomboy desktop notes. http://projects.gnome.org/tomboy/

I'm also impressed by the specific details of what counts and doesn't count as Earth being destroyed: "Teleporting Earth to another location or alternate universe where it is still able to support life is specifically excluded."

I think my favourite is "Large Hadron Collider will destroy Earth." Stakes: $1,000 I think the reality might be a little higher than that ;)
