I was there in January and you're absolutely right - they are far, far larger than I ever imagined! Standing beside one, you basically disappear compared to the tree.

My coworker has type 1 and she said that life for her using the immunosuppressive drugs would be much worse since she has hers under control with a pump & continuous monitoring. But she also said that she knew someone who had gone blind

I'm not a musician and I've never heard of a Kemper before, but that's one amazing piece of kit!

Beyond being annoying in the extreme, this surely must run afoul of the advertising source's rules. I couldn't even finish reading the page because the ads kept popping up and distracting me!

I've got the 20/200 package as well and I can consistently max the connection on both speedtests as well as actual downloading. No beefs with TW's service here.

No, the visa holder is required to provide proof of private medical insurance (which costs more than your standard private insurance). My employer did not pay for this policy. The local middle school in my suburb was mediocre (north of Ho

A co-worker recently moved from France to the US after living for decades over there so I'll have to ask his opinion ;)

I'm in the opposite situation - recently moved back to the US after many years living abroad. Not having Chip & Pin or those neat wireless card terminals is weird. Signing for everything just feels so archaic!

The CEO's comments about 457 requirements reminded me of my recent experience working in Sydney on a 457. Not having access to the public health system was annoying (though luckily not too expensive because my family was generally heal

I worked in Chatswood for 4 years and the amount of development that went up (or finished) was incredible! Right around the Chatswood station there are 3 or 4 new high rise apartment buildings. All the new shops that opened up were a boon f

Having lived in Ireland for 4 years, I can say that the physical environment was a mixed bag. Yes, it's beautifully green everywhere, but at the cost of tons of rain and cold, clammy days. Or maybe you were referring to the political c

The IRS has no say in the tax code. Their only job is to enforce the law as it is currently written. If you want the tax code to change, talk to your Congressman.

To be more precise, Apple Music has a bunch of people on the free trial. The more interesting metric will to see how many of those people convert to active, paying accounts after 3 months.
