It's possible with pcntl_fork() and pcntl_exec() but that's not compatible with apache's mod_php which is probably still pretty widely used even though it's getting replaced by php-fpm.

I think the VR games could well have been "paying the bills". They're both exclusives and likely wouldn't have happened without Oculus and Sony paying for them.

You don't really need to swap the keyboard to swap layouts and in fact it can help with learning to touch type when you are unable to rely on the markings on the keyboard. You might also want to consider going with a more dramatic chan

I seem to remember them saying that they're interested in adding functionality required by the current addons though. Probably less of a priority than perfect compatibility with Chrome though.

There's lots of innovation but you need to look at the smaller developers and in some cases build it from parts yourself. Check out the something like the Planck, Keyboardio, The White Fox or the various Red Scarf II boards. All of tho

What is it that you like in particular about the //e keyboard that the current mechanicals are lacking? Looks like it has a fairly stiff linear switch.

They still produce tactile clicky, tactile but fairly silent and linear (not clicky, not tactile) varieties of even mechanical switches. All of these varieties are quite different and you can get them with different kinds of springs. I don&

There are a number of ergonomic mechanical keyboards. Some that might be worth looking at are the Keyboardio (coming soon), Kinesis Advantage2, Maltron and the Ergodox which is a DIY solution not very ergonomic by default but possible to bu

One thing it has over ELK worth mentioning is that it has authentication in the open source version. Also able to configure it more through the web interface than ELK.

Seems like a gaming version of the Optimus Maximus which was very expensive. Are the screens needed for this so much less expensive now that you can manufacture one for £99?

I do think it would be better to have the name at least reflect that class of applications, maybe "searchignore" like someone else suggested. There may be overlap but it's hard to predict all the types of applications people

Are you referring to the just completed Afreeca Starleague with $21k prize pool? Only the top two got more than a typical month's paycheck (winner did get over $10k) and it lasted a couple of months. There also haven't been any ot

Earning through streaming can be detrimental to the level of play though. At least one of those top10 doesn't even bother playing competitive matches and I'm pretty sure he's not the only one that's not really a competit

There are actual professional players still active for SC2 though. I don't think you can make that claim for SC1 because even though the competitive scene has been growing again nobody is getting a paycheck for playing competitive game

The level of sponsored contribution is interesting but not too surprising based on what we knew about some other open source projects. I wonder if there are other projects gathering this information the way Drupal is?

Earliest support, in the late 90s and early 00s way before Valve jumped in was from Loki Entertaiment who ported many AAA titles. Individual developers like id and Epic also released Linux versions of their titles back around the same time.
