If this is enough then Google Maps is the most successful application of AR ever.

As one of the issues with VR has been (still is to an extent) the "screen door effect" which means being able to see the gaps between the individual pixels of the displays I think it's safe to say it's the low resolution

Is this anecdotal or does research saying this exist? I know this is conventional wisdom but I've wondered about how true it actually is after seeing a few counterexamples.

Yes, you can't have the voices with the old graphics in MI1 Special Edition so you need the hack. Unfortunate oversight since I think many people would like to enjoy it that way. I believe they made it possible in the MI2 remaster but

On the other hand limiting it to one hero of a kind per game helps quite a bit. Overwatch had the problem of very static team compositions early on because they didn't copy that particular feature of MOBAs. I haven't been followin

In my opinion ARTS doesn't describe it better but introduces confusion since it implies these games have something in common with real time strategy games. I don't think they really have anything to do with RTS despite being origi

A big hero pool you can only pick one of each from is probably easier to balance than something like an RTS where there are a fixed set of units for just a few alternate races and the players typically choose between them once at the start

I disagree. SteamVR home only lets you invite a few friends over to your personal space while AltspaceVR was more about all kinds of events in public spaces. Even more importantly it's only available on the PC while Altspace was one o

That's true but the text editing part is modeless as opposed to how vi and it's kin do it. Of course even that can be changed and Spacemacs has recently made it a fairly popular choice.

Neither Vive nor Rift have been selling very well recently if the Steam Survey is any indication. PSVR numbers are better but I don't think they're that impressive either.

If you think going non-free with the modules would help you should take a look at the codebases of some of the most popular premium Wordpress modules. You'll find much worse than in a popular Drupal contrib module.

So much has changed from Drupal 5 that I don't think your experience is all that relevant when assessing Drupal anymore. Just as one example, Drupal 8 now does use object-oriented PHP extensively.

Hooks are going away in favor of a fully object-oriented architecture. Some hooks remain in Drupal 8, but they'll get replaced in time. It also uses a templating system called Twig that is similar to Django's.

The common refrain in recent years has been that Drupal has been going for the enterprise instead of every single blogger like it used to. That could decrease search volume while still even growing in that segment. Still, having both would

I don't think the article is that one-sided. It also raises another issue which is that the total lack of transparency even to the person being prosecuted is problematic. The comments from the DA side about this have been few and self-

Yeah, I don't think it's all that rare for sudo to be an optional package not installed by default in distributions. At least that used to be the case back when I used try various ones a lot more.

I would strongly suspect that the fact it's without opcache by itself makes it pretty much meaningless for any kind of a real-world application.

I don't think being able to play multiple sounds simultanously from the desktop in the Win9x era was that common anyway although some sound cards probably supported it. I do find it useful for playing my own music while playing a game

I don't think GNOME2 was really a part of the Win98 era since it was released almost a year after Windows XP came out. GNOME 1.4 was terrible and the memory requirements of Linux with a desktop environment in general were far and above
