By his own admittance, OP worked for one company for 6.5 years and had ONE good manager. I suspect his bad experience with managers, Indian or otherwise, had as much or more to do with his employer and the work culture. Another indicator th

I don't think the fact that you are Indian justifies your self-admitted bias against Indian managers.

As ergo98 said, fragmentation=lack of portability=non-developer-friendly. Android is far, far better at code portability than J2ME in its (non) hey-day, if for no other reason than that I don't need to have my Android app certified by each

I have a lot of respect for James Gosling but claiming that J2ME is more developer friendly than developing for Android is kind of ridiculous. IMO Anyone who has tried to write apps for pre-Android phones using J2ME and tried Android develo

In local usage, "Jugaad" is used like "Hustle". Both have a class component and imply getting things done in the face of difficulty. The difference is that Jugaad is less likely to involve something illegal.

Actually, most of the criticism aimed at Google for this issue stems from the fact that they do claim to be a pure entity by trumpeting "Don't be evil". Most people are resigned to large corporations always acting in their self interest,

Actually you have at least 12 months to work on your startup via the OPT. If you can make it work and generate revenue, you can get the startup e-verified and then you would have another 15 months.

I am in a unique situation. I am using a GSM phone with GPS mainly as a location sensor. So, I don't need any voice minutes, just unlimited data, for as low a cost as possible. 3G would be nice, but don't even really need 3G. Other than spo
