Good for Mozilla, I hope this doesn't get dropped from 4.0 due to deadlines or other reasons. Making it easy and fuss free for users to get security updates for your product may not be a sexy feature but it is a great one. The reason Safari

You're mistaken. I never unlocked my 3GS but had tethering enabled for most of the 3.x lifecycle.

Possibly. Until now AT&T have ignored (or been unable to detect) people who had artificially enabled tethering. Now that they have an official tethering plan,if they do have a way to detect unofficial tetherers then they may automatical

This would be a much better article if everything before "But Seriously" was omitted. Much of the first half is a barely related ramble that could be argued either way depending on context. For example, Angry Birds is an excellent game comp

Interesting that there's only a $50 premium for the 3G Kindle, whereas the 3G iPad is an additional $130 over the Wifi model. Different licensing agreements? Amazon taking a loss? Typical Apple markup?

While Windows has (and probably always will be) an OS that requires reboots for certain patches, it seems a bit biased of the article to ignore much of the work that's been done in recent (>= Server 2003) versions of the OS to minimize

There's a pretty good chance (e.g. about 100%) that anything you would want to run on that high-end visualization system won't run on your laptop, and anything you would want to run on your laptop won't run on your phone. If your definition

Unfortunately it really doesn't matter what's in an OpenGL spec, nor how it compares to Direct3D. What matters are which features the hardware manufacturers choose to support and how well they do so. If the past is any guide then OGL will c

Windows, Xbox, Xbox 360, Zune HD, and the upcoming Windows Phone, all run Direct3D. If you've run Vista or Windows 7 lately with an Aero capable card, then much of your desktop experience was rendered by Direct3D. Finally, Firefox 3.7, Offi

This whole thing is just... bizarre. With Facebook now taking the "we don't know if he signed it, but if he did it's invalid anyway!" argument it looks like Zuckerberg may indeed have put pen to this paper. My guess would be either he assum
