I'm not sure how distributing flyers is perceived in California but I'd be really surprised if anyone ends up in jail for this. At least it shows these hackers are willing to go out and some promote their ideas.

Is that just their changes to the LGPL components or the whole app? My understanding is that if you dynamically link to an LGPL library you're only required to distribute changes to that library not the whole app. Also I don't get these two

The music tracks in the BitTorrent downloads are packaged in a zip file. That's pure quibbling on my part but I'd prefer to download a directory as BitTorrent supports that and I wouldn't have to unzip anything.

Right.. Should have though of that. It's the same with other kernels. Perhaps a simpler workaround would be to run Mountain Lion under VMWare. I believe it supports graphic acceleration and there should be no problem running a 64-bit OS on

Potentially yes. But Microsoft and Apple not supporting VP8 & WebM probably has more to do with these companies being part of MPEG LA (a firm which sell licenses for H.264 related patents).
