That's something I do too, but a bit modified: instead of going to someone about a problem, we try and figure it out instead, and if we can't, we go and ask help while explaining our original solution.

Well, if you get something cheaper and of less quality, there's a higher chance that if you mess up, as a newbie, it'll be harder to figure out what the problem is. It could be just faulty, or it could be a mistake on your end. Ed
