So how exactly does killing the cpu keep hard drive contents from being read? I'm sure there's a piece of technology I'm missing here. Is the computer hardware somehow involved in the hd bit encryption (on encrypted hard drives)?

Interesting. I love Adioso but one place it fails me is when I want to search months ahead (which I do quite often). Adioso only seems to be able to return results up to a certain few months ahead, while other sites are able to do it for a

I do believe what I said has to do with education as long as people spend thousands of dollars for on a passive lecture series. Personally today I wouldn't spend a dime on an introductory anthropology lecture course that the OP described.

2 things: 1. Grades need to be eliminated, but not evaluations. This teacher sounds misguided to me. The teacher needs to foster an environment that will generate curiosity and interest. The teacher needs to respect the students and the

What specific symptoms would you suppose would be associated to having both? For years I've suffered from headaches and I feel the cause is almost always a lack of oxygen (I suppose) to my brain. I've realized I definitely suffer from shal

I've heard it referred to as rapid cognition. I'd be very interested to see a study of the benefits of having a more rapid cognition vs. a slower. In most cases I believe I lean more towards an average speed of cognition, however I have no

What encryption mechanism would you recommend for this? I have some pretty low risk files in my Dropbox but I still encrypted them with a long complex password with 256-bit AES encryption through WinZIP. I've heard GnuPG is better as it al

I use my CC to pay for rent and utilities and whatever other necessities, nothing extra. I've racked up 108K AA points (and counting) simply through that. So I'm not questioning that the flights could be $418, however I do expect living ex

It isn't even that counter-intuitive. The approach for the longest time was to give aid through food and other basic necessities. Teaching a person how to fish rather than giving him fish clearly produces better results in the long term.

Very interesting. I haven't read the book, but is the only reason you see some of the manipulations as "positive" because you are an authority figure to your children and you know "what is best for them"? At what stage is the manipulating

Please explain further. I think that only makes sense if the output of the evaluation is the end state and not the learning of the student. Ideally teaching and evaluating (not grading) is baked into one action. A teacher works closely wi
